About

Our history

In August 1972, Mr. Marcel Adams, President of Développements Iberville, launched construction of a major shopping center in Sherbrooke. Less than a year later, Carrefour de l’Estrie Shopping Center officially opened its doors on October 10, 1973—ushering in a new era for retail in the region.

A major expansion followed in 1985, with a $10 million investment that added a new wing featuring a two-level Zellers store, over 60 new shops and a food court, greatly enhancing the visitor experience.

For over 50 years, Carrefour de l’Estrie has been home to a wide range of stores and services, offering a shopping experience that’s both unique and accessible for all.

Always there for you

Carrefour de l’Estrie Shopping Center is a true reflection of its city and region. It is a vibrant hub that goes beyond shopping to embody the spirit and warmth of the local community.

With over 200 stores, a variety of dining options and year-round events, it is a lively, welcoming space where people of all ages come together. It is more than a destination. It is where connections are made and moments are shared.
